Some have asked about homes either side of FPC. This is the home to the east... I believe it will be salvagable. The Booth home to the west was destroyed, but the Booth family are all alive and accounted for. I do not know of the Collins family but will try to ask around for information.

Please tell the Booths That Don Matanic (Donald Smith) said Hi. They know my Parents Joseph and Joanne (mother is deceased) The Collins Family are just around the corner. Walk to the street to the right of the big house... they are the house on the other side of the street behind what used to be (or may still be) the Kovals house.
I am elated that the Booths are alive and well.
I used to play baseball in the front of the church with childhood friends and am so Happy that the Church withstood much of Katrinas Wrath.
Also... Thank you so much for taking the picture of the house and letting me know it still stands. It was my home for 13 years. Please know that my thoughts are with all of the residents on the gulf coast and my prayers are with you.
Very glad the Booth's are well. If the opportunity presents itself please tell them that John Sanders, I rented the garage apartment on Father Ryan from them from Sept 69, three weeks after Camille, through Dec 71 while stationed at Keesler, sends personal regards! So Sorry their beautiful home was destroyed!
On the other side of the Booth's home, was the home of Thomas Poothullil. He is a physician who has been living at Garden Park Hospital since his house has been blown away. His wife, Donita, with whom he has been separated for about 7 years has a home near Jeff Davis Community College. She and her children are well.
