State Insurance Commissioner George Dale told lawmakers Tuesday that homeowners who did not have separate flood coverage and lost their homes to Hurricane Katrina's waters are probably out of luck with insurance companies.

Batch, Since your house is gone doesn't that mean that the hurricane took it away and not the flood waters? How does the insurance company determine what destroyed the house?

I have been reading that there is going to be a class action lawsuit against these insurance companies in Mississippi
