Katrina: What's left

First of all, Holly and I are alive and well. We evacuated to Mobile, AL and were personally unscathed. We stayed at Christ Presbyterian Church which is built partially underground. We saw lots of wind and rain but were never in danger.

Our house on other hand didn't fare as well. Here's a crude picture of what is left.

Those are our steps. That's pretty much it. The house behind us as well as the homes to either side of us were also completely destroyed. I think the same can be said for most homes on the beach.

Batch, just wanted to let you know we're praying for you guys. I should be down there in a day or two. Let me know if there's anything in particular I can bring.

We are so thankful that you all are ok, and we are so saddened about your house. Please know that we are praying for you, as are the people of Providence OPC in Greensboro, where my parents attend.

Batch and Holly, I just wanted to say that we will be thinking of you and praying for you over the next several months of re-building!

Wow, praise the Lord that all of you are safe. I just got to see the pictures of your house and the church. We are so sorry. Please know that you are being lifted up by name in prayer by so many people who you don't even know. Albert will see you tomorrow, but know that my thoughts are with you all.
